I know for sure I can hit him in the chest within 15 yards.  Aim for the 
chest and fire two rounds.  The chest is the biggest target.  Forget the 
knees.  That is made for Hollywood.  If he moves, the gun follows him.  If 
you can not hit the chest, find the biggest target.

I am going to fire like I have been trained for years.  Two in the chest. 
Pause.  Analyze the situation.  If he is no longer a threat, job done.  If 
he is still a threat, fire once in the head.  The two in the chest did not 
work.  This is taught to all law enforcement officers and is accepted.

Shooting in the chest does not necessary mean he or she will die.  If he 
dies, it happens.  But you NEVER say you shoot to kill.  You shoot to stop.
