Exactly what the article you linked to is trying to do. My point was not that all the ideas contained in the article are necessarily invalid. They are debatable but I certainly agree with at least several of them. However, they leave out one obvious, giant reason, which I provided. If an article is leaving out a well known and significant reason, you can pretty much guarantee that it is a political hit piece and not anything approaching an honest attempt to have an educated discussion on the matter. This is true regardless of the political persuasion of the authors.
