Except that in most of those countries, a conservative to Denmark, for instance would be a left wing extremist according to an American conservative.
Lets take Canada for example, look at the policy platform of the Tories in Canada, their policy platform is fto the left of the Democratic Party here in the US (http://www.conservative.ca/media/2012/06/ConservativePlatform2011_ENs.pdf). When looking at the platforms for the conservative parties in Norway or Holland, both platforms are fairly to the left of the Democratic platform. So the word conservative is very different in places other than the US. Its far more rational than what you get here.
