Bullshit Sam. I have Diabetes and Asthma...that is a pre-existing condition
whether it is 6 months or 5 years. Until that provision of Obamacare
becomes law, I will not be able to get insurance from any provider...not
even the bottom of the barrel plans. I have tried. Back before I realized
I was covered by the VA, I tried to get my own insurance so I wasn't
bouncing from provider to provider when I was getting coverage via the
consulting firms I was working through. Every single insurance company told
me they would not cover me as a result of those 2 pre-existing conditions.
Even the discount plans hadprovision where they would not cover treatment or
medical visits resulting from those 2 diseases.

Without a substantial break.

If you can't afford Cobra it doesn't matter if it's pre-existing.
After six months there is no such thing as pre-existing

According to HIPAA :
Only a medical condition that is diagnosed or treated within the six months
prior to the enrollment date qualifies as a pre-existing condition.

If diagnosed less than six months in advance

There are parts that will be reinstated after it's repealed.
That should remove the vast areas you don't agree with.
