And since you seem to have your finger on the pulse of our national defense, maybe you should put your name in the hat for sec def. personally, as someone who has been through two military buildups and now two dismantlings, I vote for the build up. Look back in history. We always do this and it usually end up biting us in the ass later. Build up the military to fight wars, and when they are over, tear it apart to the point where we don't have money or resources to have any quality training, then go to war again with substandard equipment and soldiers who are only half ass trained, jump out our asses to get better equipment and hurry and give soldiers the right training. Rinse and repeat.
