I actually saw an interesting break down of campaign donations from the military the other day at OpenSecrets. Ron Paul had been the leading recipient of military donations when he was still running. Since then, it has largely moved over to Obama. I find it interesting because the story also notes that most of the military branches gave more money to Republicans overall than to Democrats, so it looks like there is a split between the Presidential race and the lower-tier races. Given the previous lead that Ron Paul had in the fundraising, it seems like Romney just does really poorly with this demographic more than anything else.
