I think the slippery slope is imaginary in this case. Marriage, in the eyes of the government is nothing more than a civil contract. Minors cannot legally enter into contracts, therefore the NAMBLA argument is moot. Let's melt that slippery slope, though - 'marriage', in the eyes of the government, should be a contract between 2 consenting adults. This takes the cases of people wanting to marry their dog or coffee table (which I hear many gay marriage opponents use in their 'slippery slope' examples) out of the discussion.
