He may not have been an 'official' face of the republican party, but to
some he may have been perceived that way. And perception is key.

If a voter thinks Trump represents the republican party and its ideals, and
they don't like what he has to say...guess what? That is
the republican party's problem. And, as I said earlier, they need to
address that problem.
