Howard, As conservative as I am I agree with you. I am not rabid anti-abortion. I don't like it, I think it is wrong, and I would like to see it gone from the face of the Earth. However the common sense in me says that is not going to happen. I think the issue here is education. Make it so that abortions are rare, through education and adoption.
I support equal rights for everyone. However, I don't support special treatment for anyone. -----Original Message----- From: Howard Owens [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, June 18, 2002 1:08 AM To: CF-Community Subject: RE: Are you Liberal or Conservative Well, to me all conservatives have a sense of social responsibility (as in Adam Smith "Wealth of Nations" fame) and individual freedoms (as in the Constitution). It's the left, to me, that seems out of whack, with its political correctness and the restrictions it wants to place on businesses (which is a position that is anti-freedom). It's actually lifestyle issues where I must diverge with social conservatives -- I am not rabid anti-abortion and I support equal protection/rights for gays.
