I do think that the military should be paid well. I also think that pre-school teachers should make a living wage.
The system is not fair. Some say that the invisible hand of Adam Smith means that everyone is getting paid exactly what they ought to. Market rate, right? I say bullshit. And, yes, I think you ought to get SSDI for injuries sustained during your military service. I am also, apparently, a bleeding heart liberal who thinks that government and law ought to work to curb the most rapacious behaviors and provide a system for people to be taken care of and create opportunities for everyone to get ahead. I am scum for thinking such things.
