I ask you who is the militia? Larry you know on a factual and legal level that I'm right. Your arguments, even the valid ones, wuld violate the constitution and it's intent. Nothing else matters, and that should be the end of the conversation. If we can legislate over any right, without constitutional amendemnt, then we can do so to any right. This isn't just about guns but also about the entire structure of our government, all of our rights from freedom of speech and religion, due process, search and seizure, all of it.
