Jerry B. had a link the other day about things Americans should know about the 2nd Amendment. It contained a short bit about slavery and the 2nd Amendment. I just came across a really interesting article that seems to be pretty well sourced talking about the discussions around the 2nd Amendment and the concerns of Southern, slave-owning states.
