Here is a nice breakdown of the cost effectiveness of the creative cloud subscription service. I have been using it for about a year now, as has Erika and I can say I have no complaints. Of course I am getting the student discount, but even without the discount I would still not complain. I used to buy Adobe products such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver and such. I could not always afford upgrades so I'd be stuck with outdated software after a couple years. I like the creative cloud because it's affordable, and I get to try out other products as well, such as indesign. And having the full PDF suite is really nice as well. So many times I wanted to make a PDF form but didn't have the full program. Also, if you are your own dev shop like I am (part time of course), it's a tax deduction.
