However the Patriot Act is not intended to be able to blindly retrieve
information from EVERYONE. It's designed to be able to access information
from suspected terrorists, or American's who are suspected of collaborating
with terrorists.

According to the author of the Patriot Act, Rep. Sensenbrenner, what the
Obama administration is doing is considered excessive and beyond the scope
of the law.

I don't remember _anyone_ on this list, except maybe Sam (blindly supporting
Bush, not because he agreed), being in favor of the Patriot Act.
I remember much gnashing of teeth, knowing where it would probably lead.
