I don't think the intent was to say 'all these shootings are the same as Sandy Hook'. I think it may be just the opposite. Pointing out all the other incidents on (or near) school campuses that we don't hear of (mostly because they are NOT like Sandy Hook).
Call me a simpleton, but in order for an incident to meet the criteria of 'school shooting' it would need to involve a gun being discharged on (or near, maybe) a school campus. Period. 'A gunman ran onto campus, was chased by police, shot student accidentally' - Yep. School shooting '19-year-old shot in elementary parking lot over dice game at 9 PM.' - Yep. School shooting 'Gang-involved student accidentally shot herself in thigh.' - Yep. School shooting. I could go on, but won't. I think I understand the point you were trying to make, but, man, this guy with the tweets is a class A asshole. If there is a hell, I am sure there is a special place for him in it.
