I don't know about that. I personally hated him so much that when my sister gave me a calendar that counted down to his last day in office, I cut out pictures of monkeys and pasted them over his face on all the pages so I wouldn't have to look at him. I hated Nixon that much too, but Nixon deserved it more.
When I started the novel I am currently writing the main villain was loosely based on Bush, but as I did research into him, I discovered that he really wasn't the villain, just the puppet. I don't hate him any more, just have a profound sense of pity for someone who would was so unaware of how badly they were being manipulated. He seems to have adjusted to his loss of power fairly well, however, hanging out on his ranch and painting naked selfies.
