If it was my daughter, I would first have caught up with Ray Rice, 
confined him,  and punished
him in more ways than he ever thought possible.

Then I would turn to my daughter and chastise her for getting physically 
violent with him,
provoking a confrontation she would lose.

And finally, I would question her good sense for having entered into a 
relationship with him
in the first place.  She chose to be with him and a person has to bear 
the consequences of
their choices. That doesn't excuse his behavior, but if you don't want 
to risk being run over
by a train, stop playing on the tracks.
