I had a little insight into the insurance related administrative bullshit
that my doc's office has to deal with recently when a medication had to be
pre-approved by the insurer in order to be covered. It took two months and
hours of phone calls on my part and his staff's part just to get one little
form faxed over and then back.

I saw what was going on from the inside and it was 100% incompetence on the
insurer's part. I am sure this is played out millions of times all over the
country each day. I am amazed any insurers get anything done at all.

If I were a doctor and I had the option I would stop accepting insurance
too.
