: From what I read (in a review), the USB 2 speed isn't bad, nor is the

USB 1/1.1 only transfers at 12Mbit/s -- 1.5 MB/s. A 4 meg file would take
about 2.6 seconds to transfer if the drive got /all/ the bandwidth. USB 2
is much quicker -- 48Mbit/s. Keep in mind that if anything else wants
bandwidth, it can inturrupt the stream.
