Thanks for the suggestion, but:

She has 256MB now, running Win98 (not SE).
Not going to put any more than that in an old machine.

My 866MHz also has 256MB (Win98 SE).

Comparing browser performance using the same cable 
modem, hers crawls. And trying to use Photoshop on hers 
is an exercise in great frustration.
