It's like deja-vu all over again!  :-)

I recently made this comparison and the Dell barely squeezed by as the
winner.  If she does video editing and plays with MP3s alot, I would
definitely go with the Mac.  I would consider the included software + costs
(ie: a version of office almost always often comes with a new PC, doesn't
with a new Mac).  Also, consider that if she's gonna keep that desktop or
ever get a new PC, someone's gonna probably end up buying PC and Mac
versions of lots of software titles.

Other than that I have heard/seen great things about the Powerbooks.  I'd go
for it!
