Indian? Oh, I'll have to try that. I was talking about the Caribbean
version :)

I watched a Trini woman make roti and then put curry beef, chicken, or
goat in it.
She made the dough, sprinkled this garbanzo bean mixture and rolled
and kneaded and then allowed to rise, repeatedly. Then she took off
small pieces and fried them in a large pan. Then she froze a few of
them
and used the rest to wrap up the curried beef or chicken or goat.

roti doesn't take very long to make. About 1/2 hour prep. (tops) and
then
about 5 minutes per Roti. There isn't a "chicken", "beef" or other
meat
variety of roti.... there's just roti. There are other Indian breads
that
do contain meats and/or vegies (subzi).... most common would be
parantha.

I should be so lucky to have a Roti shop... hmph..
Now, I know they dont make the dough, knead it , let it rise, knead
it,
let it rise, etc in 10 minutes. They must have a Roti machine, eh?

I know how to make it... It just takes forever and a day. And
actually,
I prefer the beef or chicken variation :)
