I question the validity of using Archie Bunker as a reference :-) At any rate, I agree with a previous statement here - it's far easier to point a gun at someone and pull the trigger as opposed to bashing them over the head or stabbing them 20 times. If you are a person that can kill someone like that then, true, nobody's going to stop you. However, most sane people would not resort to that. And, sometimes sane people snap and it's real easy to pull a trigger...
