There is a simply breath test for h pylori, and a 14 day treatment called 
propak, consisting of an antibiotic and protonix, which is a proton pump 
inhibitor similar to prilosec.  All of this is covered by most 
insurance/drug plans.

Most ulcers are caused either by h pylori or by taking aspirin/NSAIDS.

Everyone in my family has ulcers, so I've educated myself on the subject in 
self-defense.
