Of course it is all about OIL.. anyone who thinks different is just not paying
attention.

Valero Petroleum ( a troubled Texas Company) owns the refineries that can only
process Iraq oil crude. They have been pestering the Bush Administration for
financial help since they cannot get a reliable feedstock supply. The top
honchos at Valero are buddy-buddy with GW , the Vice President and the Secretary
of Defense. Their offices are physically located across the street from ENRON
(hmmmm?)

The Bush administration's Propaganda machine is alive and well, and is working
to make everyone believe that if you are not with them on this War thing, then
you must be a pinko liberal democrat. The same goes for his promises to his
supporters, and that is to reduce the tax burden on his oil patch buddies as
well.

Tax breaks for those companies are not really needed IMHO because most of them
have finagled their financials to show continued losses, and therefore do not
pay income taxes. They are looking for relief from the taxes they do pay, all
the while they certainly take care of their executives, don't they?

Maybe some would wake up if those huge Chapter 11 bankruptcies would convert to
Chapter 7 liquidation, huh?

If the Airlines were allowed by rules to cancel flights that were below 80%
capacity, there would be no need for imported petroleum, as they burn more jet
fuel that just about the rest of country combined.
