The US Media is a propaganda machine.

They are fooling Joe Q Public into accepting the US attack on Iraq.
"Let's all get behind the good ole boys going in to destroy a bad evil
dictator..."

They aren't actually analysing whether the US SHOULD go to war, or the
REASONS anymore (were they ever?). Most of the interviewed 'experts' are
now talking about how fast the war will end, the technology used (How
superior US technology is in other words).

No discussion about the war, the impact of the war on the economy (oh
wait..one analyst says that the 8.5Billion that would be spent is just a
drop in the bucket since the US GDP is a couple trillion dollars or some
specious shit like that).

So it's all propaganda at this point as far as I'm concerned.

Not that Joe Q Public has a say in the matter in any case *shrug*.

I was watching the news last night and noticed how the news agencies
were reporting on the Iraq "situation" as if it were a foregone
conclusion that we were going to war and were just waiting for everyone
to get into position before the big push. So .. is the media just being
sensationalist, or are they trying really hard to convince John Q.
Public that it's a done deal and sweep any uncertainties under the rug?
