Nope... He died because he wasn't wearing body armour and the suspects
werent handcuffed.

So, I figure to drop a conversation bomb.

Given that the US is swamped with guns, and they are very easy to get,
AFAIK, no US police have been killed while investigating post 9-11 terror
suspects.

The British haven't been so lucky.

...
Police say Oake, 40, died in a struggle with one of the three men about an
hour after officers first entered the apartment.

One of the suspects managed to break free of police and grabbed a knife in
the kitchen. Father-of-three Oake, 40, died from stab wounds to his chest
and three colleagues were injured.
...

Maybe he died _because_ he didn't have a gun?

Just a thought,
Jerry Johnson
