Not to beat to beat the dead horse here ... But I was looking up some
fairly popular cars versus a couple of SUV's ... And I think some of the
differences in gas mileage is negligible and even a couple of SUV's came
out ahead of popular cars ...

So I think it's all pretty relative and comes down again to the fact
people really shouldn't generalize, as some SUV owners try to own the
best one for the environment while still getting the vehicle they want
and enjoy, while some car owners don't realize that an SUV does better
on the road then their car.

Now there's no reasoning for the Lincon Navigator people other than they
have the money to waste I suppose ... But others should be given a bit
more slack since their SUV only does 1 mpg less than the popular
minivans. That's hardly something to crucify over ... But then again,
what do I know.

Interesting stuff. Of course there's lots of great family cars in this
list that do great on mileage.
