What kills me is that the current card spec read like the Evans & Sutherland and Silicon Graphics boxen I used in the early 90's.
More pixels per second. More polygons. _Shaded_ polygons. Higher frame rates. Higher resolutions. The machines were $500,000 plus each. Now I can have the same displays on my desk for under $500. I wonder how 'Dactyl Nightmare runs on current pcs?
