The new Geforce FX sounds like a vacuum cleaner. Iw ent up on tomshardware.com and downloaded the sound files. Its totally ridiculous.
Not to mention it doesn't give you that much of a performance boost over the Radeon 9700. Plus..ATI is going to crush them again when they bump the memory just a liiiitle bit upward to 350Mhz. ATI I think intentionally underclocked their first batch of cards, knowing that they could bump up the clockspeed if they wanted to. They're going to in order to match the Geforce FX. I think ATI could put NVIDIA in some trouble here.. -Gel -----Original Message----- From: Craig Dudley [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] If you like having a 70db cooling mechanism inside your pc (equivalent to a vacuum cleaner) I was waiting for a GF FX, but not at that price or noise level, I picked up a Crucial Radeon 9700 pro for 235 last week instead, I'm more than happy with it's performance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=5 Get the mailserver that powers this list at http://www.coolfusion.com Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
