A couple of years ago I read an interesting article about the incidence of 
Gulf War Syndrome among American and British vets of the Gulf War. The 
incidence for the Americans was about 10 times higher than for the British 
troops. The researchers attributed the difference to the differences in 
part to the US Veteran's Administration covers GWS while the British 
equivalent does not.
