Hi group, This is a third post seeking info. Hope _somebody_ knows something...
(1) Do I really need encryption between WiFi device and WAP if I have its router restricted to Trusted IPs only? (2) If I use encryption, how can I set a second WAP (greater range) to same encryption key as router if 28 bits are "factory set"? Will these 28 bits be the identical if same brand equipment? Send this question to Netgear, no usable reply... Units are Netgear FM114P ProSafe Wireless Firewall/Print Server (w/ router, switch, WAP) and Netgear MA701 WiFi CF Card. Proposing to add Netgear ME102 WAP (programmed at computer, then just connected to wired Ethernet).
