I'm so skinny that I can't sit comfortably in a wooden chair for more than
about 10 min. I have joint problems, little endurance, and am about as
strong as a mewling kitten. The only reason I can even do pushups is
because it's like bench pressing a hamster.
I'm a hair under 6" (about 5' 11.75") and am about 135 sopping wet (which
probably adds considerable weight, given my long hair). I also have a big
frame, which just makes me look like a scarecrow at this weight. I look
good at about 180-185, I look human at about 160.
Being this thin has negative effects on my already iffy self-image. It's
not good for body, mind, or soul.
So yeah, I want to gain weight. It's as important to me and my health as
losing weight is to, say, BenB.

: : Given the people on this list and their loved ones affected by various

: : I assume many of the CF-Community people are like me, spending a large

: : about anything that passes for food each day for lunch, and utterly
: : deficient when it comes to exercise.
: :
: : Given that it is the lenten season and I am supposed to be giving

: : to those who have to change theirs. I am going to eat healthier
: : and get more
: : exercise. Tonight when I get home I am going to lift some
: weights (I would
: : do cardio but I already walk half an hour each day as it is),
: for dinner I
: : am going to have a grilled chicken breast and some broccoli, and I am
: : probably going to just have a salad for lunch. Tomorrow I will

: : And the snacks, the Famous Amos cookies my company provides

: :
: : That's my pledge, anyways. I don't really want to think about what my

: :
: : Anyone else up for such a challenge? I am sharing my thoughts

: : that some other people feel strong enough to want to make a
