Whew! That one's a bit out of my price range, although it is nice :)

I'll take your word for it and go with the Canon.  Lexmark has been good
to me, but the cartiges are an arm and a leg.

I have the Canon S900 photo printer.
Does borderless 4x6 through 8X10.
Also does really good "normal" printing.

Mine has 6 ink tanks - Black, Yellow, Cyan, Magenta, Photo Cyan, Photo
Magenta.
When one runs out you only replace it, so you are not wasting any ink.
There is a status pop-up which shows a bar graph of ink remaining in
each tank 
(optical sensor), and warns you "although the printer is still online,
yellow 
is getting low" or something like that.
