Ben, All of those sound great! Would you like to do a series on Regular Expressions?
Don't worry -- Michael and I are qualified to edit it. : ) Michael's the king of regular expressions. Let's talk about this offlist. Incidentally, I am interested and open to all sorts of articles, particularly on CFMX and Flashcomm, my two favorite programs. Also: Flash for the CF programmer and Java/OOP programming concepts as applied to CFMX. Part of what's been holding me up with FA is (now that I recognize it) a severe depression, having to do with the back problems I've developed and a sense of the sheer amount of work that's necessary these days to do FA. If I had someone who could help me with the editorial work, I'm sure I could get it out on a more frequent basis. So I got into this very paralyzing depression: My God, look at how much work I have ... (Do anything but that work because it's just too much.) The other part of my depression has to do with my perspective on the uniqueness of what we do. When I started this magazine, what we were doing was fresh and new and had not been done before for CF. I had a sense that what I was doing was unique. Somewhere, I lost that sense. I'm sure that what we're doing is still valuable, but to keep me going, I need to have that sense of excitement back. I'm working on it. So what would you guys like to see in FA that you don't see elsewhere? What would you like to see FA evolve into?
