Check out http://www.arsclan.net The run a few game servers and I'm pretty sure that Wolf is still played there. They mostly use TeamSpeak for voice communications and IRC for live text chat. You can't put an IRC window on top of the game window (that I know of) since the games force full-screen. But depending on the game, you could run a cheap second monitor and have the IRC window on that one. Or use a laptop next to your computer.
