Yup, and because they saw what they wanted, they didn't question back down
the ranks.  Seen it happen with business leaders, parents, and definitely
politicians.

Which is why hopefully one of the outcomes of the war will be a thorough
analysis of the process used to filter information up the ranks.

And yes, grunts do feed information to Sec State and President.  How else do
they get it?  I just don't see them going to the library to do their own
research ;-).

Also, I don't remember any of the other countries challenging that Iraq had
Wad's.  I just remember them asking for more time to negotiate them away
from Sadaam.

But grunts don't feed information to the Secretary of State who takes it to
the United Nations to ask for war.

Their bosses see things a certain way, and push it up the food chain.

I got to admit, the false receipts thing needs to be looked into.  Frankly,
I expect the results to be more incompetence versus receipts.  Grunts are
prone to see things in the light that their bosses want to see them.
