Hello Jeffrey,

One other thing and I likely should write this off threat but I won't! I
think your being wildly popular in the voting is a message to the folks at
Macromedia from the folks in the CF community. I hope your understand my
perspective, if your server is in the most innovative CF application
category shouldn't ColdFusion MX and if so what category does my
application go in?

Kind Regards,
Mike Randolph

Hello Everyone,
These award's are NOW NOTHING but a perk of advertising with CFDJ with
their new vote counting procedures (see below). So when you decide on your
next CF purchase please don't accept these awards as meaning anything but
the company has an advertising budget with CFDJ. I know this is a rant,
but everyone should know the truth about this years award when you make
your software purchasing decision. If you want to flame me please do it
off list, as this is an FYI not a thread that needs to run forever.
These all should read 'BEST CFDJ Advertisers'
Best Book
Best CF Web Service
Best Consulting Service
Best Content Management Tool
Best Custom Tag or Component
Best eBusiness Software
Best Education and Training
Best Web Application
Best Web Development Tool
Best Web Hosting
Best Web Site or Community
Most Innovative CF Application

VOTING UPDATE 4/8/03: The new 'vote counting procedure'* is working
perfectly, and the top slots are GUARANTEED to be filled with ColdFusion
Developer Journal advertiser's. We sincerely appreciate your support and
should we be named the 'ColdFusion Developers Journal Heaviest Advertiser'
for 2003 we will be very proud.
* As part of our 2003 Readers' Choice Awards Voting Process - ACTIVE
subscribers (Advertising viewers) of ColdFusion Developer's Journal votes
will be qualified as 2 points in our voting tally. New subscribers votes
will count as 1 point. Subscription records are verified as of the start of
voting - March 31, 2003.
Kind Regards,
Mike Randolph

WHY I'M MAD: Please note that without this tainting we would quite likely
be winning (or likely could win) the Best eBusiness Software category. The
leader in the 'Most Innovative CF Application' is a ColdFusion Application
SERVER, but they advertise a lot so what the heck right.
***** Why doesn't Macromedia put ColdFusion MX in Most innovative CF
Application category it'd be just the same (not the right category), but at
least then Macromedia wont look so silly when the OTHER SERVER wins. LOL.
