No, I think the world would be a much better place if there were no borders
and people, no matter where they lived thought of themselves as all part of
the human race instead of different races.

I had never heard of this Trotsky guy. But if his viewpoint was that he
wanted to eliminate war from the human experience, what is so wrong with
that?

But all of this is hypothetical, because the egocentric predilictions of the
human psyche would seem to forbid any type of cooperation on a truly global
scale for any meaningful length of time. That is, until we get attacked by
the Romulans, or the Crystal beings from IB or whatever; and the entire
human race can unite against a common enemy.

Trotsky believed in the elimination of all borders as a means of eliminating
war from the human experience. He believed in cooperative existence, where
different peoples would come together for a common cause and make the world
a better place to live. These ideas got him shot in Mexico.

Commie alerts are usually reserved for blatant, knowing references to
despicable commie ideas, but your post stated these principles so succinctly
I felt the need to issue it then and feel removing it now would not be
prudent.

Meditate on this thought until you come back over to the right:

'The idea of a hive is cool as long as it protects the status quo by being
used as a giant army to crush bad guys and protect / enforce these most
excellent borders that keep me safe.'

I never said anything about Communism...I was thinking more along the lines
of the Borg....or ants, or a beehive...but it of course could never
happen...
