It mostly depends on whether the bike has headlight, taillights and working turn
signals.

What year is it? If it is pre-72, you may not want it.

Chances are it does not have the pieces needed to be street ridable, since that was a
pretty simple dirt bike.

Decent bike, though.

Dirt bikes are primarily not street legal where I live, but you may want to
make a call to your local police office to check what their laws are.

Subject: dirt bike?

I have someone offering to swap me a dirt bike for my non-working truck. A
Suzuki tm400cc dirt bike to be precise. Somewhere in the back of mu mind I
am thinking these are not street legal and this bike would primarily be
useful as a present to my son. Can someone help me out here?

Dana
