Hey kids,
I own a home in N.C. which I am renting out. The renter passed us a
bad check and now we can't even get her to return our calls or emails.
Anyone out here know what I can do? I called the sheriffs office down there
and they basically said I need to be in town to do anything, and of course I
can't afford that, especially now that I have to cover the mortgage myself.
Has anyone had to deal with something like this before?
As an aside, never rent to friends. This is someone I used to work
with and that used to watch my son. I really thought she was more
responsible than this. Makes me sick.
