oi William!! I remember once when I lived in Crime(Pine) Manor in Ft. Myers, Fl. I was living there with a couple of my mates. It was a very, very shitty part of town. People were always getting shot, stabbed, etc... but hey our rent was cheap, and we were drinking our money away like mad....so hey, it worked out decent for us.... We were renting furniture from some place....but kept on spending our money on nites out... So finally the furniture place came a calling for their stuff back... We were home at the time but refused to answer the door. They were beating on it like mad, yelling "We know you are in there!!" So when they finally left, we waited about 15 minutes then called them up. Told them we had run down the street and that my 11 year old nephew was in the house when they were just there, and he was petrified due to them yelling and beating on the door. We were pissed (or so we acted), told them to come pick up their shit IMMEDIATELY!!!! So, as soon as we got off the phone we IMMEDIATELY proceeded to move ALL the furniture out to the front lawn, and then continued to hide in the house drinking while they were outside picking up the furniture... we thought it was funny as shit at the time....it still is to think back on it....what do you expect, I think I was only 16 at the time. Oh what memories... our landlord was this white guy with this Juan Epstein (Welcome back, Kotter) afro.... he would always wear this white shirt that said "I [red heart] Pine Manor"... he would always show up at our place at like 3am drunk off his ass......to chat and be buddies. His wife was kinda cute..but in a trailer trashy sorta way.... she was always flirting around and stopping by our place too...weird now that i look back on it... we were always trying to push each other to take one for the team.....and get us out of paying rent for month....never panned out.. I do remember when we left finally, it wasn't on the greatest terms. the landlord threatened to have us killed then had some huge Guido lookin bloke show up at the house demanding money.... I think we promised to have it the next day...then moved out moments after the guy left..... ah the memories.
