When you join the military you sign away most of your rights, however there
is medical care provided for those that go through traumatic events.

I witnessed a murder at 8 (along with a hundred other people). Should I
have had the right to sue, no, it wasn't targeted at me, although you could
make the argument.

If you saw someone having sex in an alley, well 1 your an adult, and should
be able to deal with that, and 2 they were breaking the law and so you might
have some sort of case.

Now in this case, the images of a minor were released, and even eventually
his name, without his parents permission. Open and shut as far as I am
concerned.

Ok let me try to take a Dana type logical approach and dissect your argument
;).

And I agree they were trying to embarrass him.

So saying because he was traumatized by that he can sue. Can the soliders
who sign up for military service and see someone get blown to bits can they
sue for emotional distress? What about when my daughter saw someone get
murdered if she was emotionally disturbed should she be able to sue the
murderer??

If i saw someone having sex in an alley and it disturbed me?

I mean of course they can sue but i hope people are not rewarded for being
dumbasses.
