I agree, 4 was not the best but I watched it anyway. I just have this things with series like that. I HAVE to watch it to the end or I go nuts. Hell, that's why I sat though 2 really bad seasons of X-Files. As far as the stories, I do remember reading a few things about how the cast was concerned about the level of violence on the show. Kinda silly to me since it is a show about the mob but hey..I can see their point a little bit. If you think about it, Season 3 had some of the most violent images with Ralph killing that girl and Dr. Melphi's rape. I would be interested in seeing Tony and Uncle Jr. getting back into a power struggle again. What happened to the feeling of getting to the end of an episode and saying, "What? it's over already?!?" It seems that after Sept 11, the writers/producers wanted to take the edge off of the show...so as not to offend... Why not just kill him off and plow forward? after all they managed to kill off the most interesting character in a long while, Ralphie; and yeah Edie Falco's performance was great but holy jumpin' catfish Batman, one shining star does not a great season make!
