Seriously? I dunno. I'm more of a desktop guy when it comes to PCs.
Historically, I've liked Toshibas. They're durable as hell, and you can
get them with trackpoints (I'm one of the 4 people in the US who like
them). A client has a Gateway which seems cool, but she's been having
trouble getting the Centrino wifi working with her router/AP. Of
course, that could be the router. I've always liked Sonys at the high
end, but I never thought they were worth it on the low (ie sub-$1K end).
