countries or know people who have illegally emigrated. I don't know, to
be honest. I thought the move was a mess - they're going to anger a lot
more people than they might please with that sort of move. Ostensibly,
it's supposed to ensure that people on the roads are going to be
certified by the state as competent drivers, but that doesn't make any
sense to me.
Firstly, if I were an illegal, why exactly should I go pick up an
identification that tells the authorities exactly where I live? And
what do I care about not having a license anyway? There are scores of
infractions that I could be picked up on that would result in my
deportation, why should driving be the one that I try to care about?
