Well you shouldn't think that - it's not attacking you. You're not out expounding the glories of free enterprise and denouncing federal taxes as only benefiting welfare moms and homeless people to buy drugs with. And you should be proud. I thank you 100% for your commitment to protecting our freedoms. And though you could probably pull a few sentences out and spin it this way, I don't think the point was to attack the military and all the people who served -

He's just pointing out an ironic observation that many of the most rabid proponents of the free enterprise, and the ones that get the most riled up about welfare moms and federal taxes are sometimes employed by the largest socialist institutions in the world - that being the US federal govt./military/defense industry.

It's a trollish article, but he holds no punches and I admire that style. Reading so many authors with the PC stick up their butt gets tiring, it's refreshing to hear somebody just come out and say it like they feel. Of course not everyone will agree with it, but that's fine. As Tim would point out, that's why we have the military, to protect our right to piss people off with simple words. Don't you love this country? Lately though the military has been used by corrupt politicians to serve the interests of corporations and pork defense contractors - not the peoples'. Some anger will naturally be misdirected towards the messenger - like always.

Read how another veteran feels about things, maybe you share some of his sentiments:
