Being up against the lake is a mixed blessing.  Obviously it's beautiful in
the summer, I know we were rated one of the top 10 summer getaways by like
the travel channel or something this year.  I find that a little strange,
since I've grown up here, the grass is always greener somewhere else.  But
it's a nice combo of small town & being relatively close to larger towns
(K-Zoo & South Bend).  So it's a nice place to visit, I suppose.

I really don't think we get 4x more snow than anywhere in Michigan, but
maybe I'm deluding myself.  We do get plenty of it for sure.

St Joseph, down in the far SW corner up against Lake Michigan.  We love
the
  lake effect snow here.

I'm more bothered by the fact that it hit 70 here on Sunday, and then
was
  26
w/. ice and snow on Monday.  You gotta love michigan.

      You know, maybe global warming ain't such a bad thing, this morning;
it
    was
20 degrees as I scraped the windshield of the Jeep.

Apparently we are going to have an unusually cold winter this year,
    anybody
else getting the frost of Old Man Winter a little early this year?
