Sharks. There was this expert on there - "Reggie" - who spent the whole
movie getting into trouble and having to be saved or helped by the camera
crew.
It was educational and hilarious. Now it's an inside joke at our place:
should somebody, say, get their hair caught a zipper we just shake our heads
and say "oh, Reggie".
I agree wholeheartedly about the ridiculousness of using localized event
information in an attempt influence broader systemic issues. This is
exactly why these political environmentalists annoy me so much (both
extremes).
My personal opinion is that there's more than enough reason to clean up our
emissions even if Global Warming were not a factor. but if it turns out to
be a factor (and I think the evidence is leading strongly in that direction)
then it's going to be so much cheaper (economically, environmentally and
socially) to do something sooner than later.
In other words after doing a cost-benefits analysis I've determined that a
strategic paradigm shift towards infrastructure self-investment will better
encourage long-term growth and increase return on investment. ;^)

I saw it in Nov. in San Antonio.
Also saw 2 other excellent films there -
"Alamo: The Price of Freedom" (which we've discussed on the list before) and
"Lewis & Clark".
We have an IMAX at Sony Metreon in San Francisco, and 2 others out in the
'burbs, each of the three is about 25 miles from me.
My faves are still "To Fly!" and "The Dream Is Alive".
I have all the Smithsonian/NASM IMAX films on LD and/or DVD now.
My 60" doesn't compare to the IMAX screen, but it's still nice,
esp. with the THX surround sound :-)
BTW, the talk about "global warming on a cold day" is almost as asinine as
slamming a stock price because of one quarter's financial results missing
analysts; expectations. That has become the tail which wags the dog -
companies strive to make the quarterly numbers, regardless of what's good
for the long-term prospects of the company. <sigh>
