few things about some different subjects, with no real purpose other than to
say them.
1. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of the soldiers serving in every
facet for our country. Although I have tremendous respect for all who have
answered the call of our country for whatever conflict arose, there has
always been a deeper, more profound level of gratitude for those who served
in WW2. I don't know why that is, but that generation of Americans was
simply incredible.
2. What is up with drivers on the road? This morning there was a guy high
beaming the person in front of him and tailgating him. He was also on his
cell phone. Now that is bad enough, but to do it from the slow lane on the
interstate is almost reprehensible. Makes me wish I had a tank, so I could
just turn right and crush his car into oblivion, rendering him into a fleshy
paste for his relatives to cry over, saying what a nice boy he was.
3. On the subject of rudeness. We went out for dinner to LaShish
http://www.lashish.com <http://www.lashish.com> last night. My first time
eating at a middle eastern cuisine restaurant, although I have had hommous
before. It was very good, I had the hommous with ghallaba prepared with lamb
and it was excellent. The neighbors on the other hand were by far the rudest
people I have ever seen. They were very loud, and the littlest girl was a
complete brat. I'm talking whining loudly, screaming and throwing things. It
was two women and two little girls. They were taking turns with three of
them blowing into their straws in a glass of water, blowing the water all
over the table they were at. And they were confrontational as well. I
couldnt believe it. I thanked my kids so much for being nice and well
behaved kids when we got into the car. I also gave them double desserts when
we got home. I would be mortified to sit at a table of any relative of mine
who had kids that acted like that. I felt so bad for the waitress who had to
smile at them and clean up after their mess.
4. I'm so tired of hearing about the Caucases on the news. Are you guys? I
want someone to run and beat Bush, but do they have to talk about it every
single minute.
5. Football!!!!! The Pat's manhandled the Colts, and the Panthers plucked
the Eagles. Whats up with that?
Oh well, I think I talked about everything I wanted to, but I'll probably
remember something else within two seconds of hitting the send button.
